  1. Grand Prix of Curves Final X-Ray: Case Summary:The patient was having severe pain on tooth #32. She wanted to save the tooth. In checking tooth # 32 it was in good occlusion. Pulp testing revealed #32 was non-vital. There was a periapical lesion on the mesial root. It was discussed with the patient that due to the severe dilaceration or curvature of the roots there was some question as to whether the root canal could be done successfully. I had just received my order of Evolve rotary files and thought this was a good case to use them. I started with #10 and 15 k files and established a glide path using prolube as a lubricant. Next I used the Evolve rotaries along with sodium hypochlorite. I started with a #17-.06. it was followed with a #20-.06 and light shaping with a #25-.06. . The canals were then filled with gutta percha using vertical condensation. I was very impressed with how easily the files shaped the canals and how flexible they were. They had no problem with the severe curvature of the roots. The bonus was there price.
