Dr. Rico D. Short Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 "4" Play ~ No CBCT! Featured X-Ray: Case Summary:This was an interesting case of Radix Entomolaris. The previous treatment was done by a general dentist. I had to retreat the case and found a second DB canal and did NOT need a cone beam CT to see it! A good endodontist will not need a CBCT as much as all the hype about it is. Let's do it right! Everyone don't need to be scanned with CBCT for a retreatment. Use the ALARA principle. ALARA is an acronym for As Low As Reasonably Achievable. This is a radiation safety principle for minimizing radiation doses and releases of radioactive materials by employing all reasonable methods.
